Passion

From a young age, I have been passionate about government, voting, and participating in our democracy. At 8 I would go to the polls for every election with my mom. As a high school student I successfully advocated to our school to let us take the PSATs, something every other 10th grader in the US got to do, but something our school inexplicably decided to pass over. I have been a passionate advocate from the beginning, and I hope to continue my work for another year as VPGA.

This job is 20 hours a week often out of office. It involves traveling down the road to city hall or the capitol and rushing around in dress clothes to meet with officials. Advocacy is time consuming and, in government, results often take a long time. It takes someone with an intense passion for these subjects and a desire to advocate for students to take on this work. I have a proven record of advocacy, and I hope to continue to act as a representative for students.
